My name is Paige JoAnne Marie Lenz, and I will be serving as the 2010 President of The Frankfort Area Jaycees. Our theme to live by for this year will be Dream Away... I want every individual member to set a dream for the year, and for me and my board to help you achieve it. This year we are going to have our heads in the clouds, but we'll keep our feet on the ground, and I truly believe if we have faith, and we focus on what we are doing as a team, then we will be able to accomplish anything, and show every other chapter in the state that we truly are the best. Lets band together! Together as a Jaycee chapter, and together as the community of Frankfort, we can get it done, we can be the best, and we can make all our dreams come true. I am extending my hand to each and every member, ask me to help you reach your dreams what ever they may be, and I will be there to help you make it happen. But in accepting my hand we become a team, and the team of the Frankfort Area Jaycees can and will do everything we set out to do and more. Welcome to a new year, with a new set of faces on our board, with young vibrant leaders looking to accomplish big things, and to reach out and spread a dream to everyone and anyone who will just take the time to listen. First off in case you haven’t heard—Frankfort Area was in the top 10 again in the NATION!!!!! Congratulations everyone!!!! 2009 is almost over - I can’t believe it is here already!!! I have had a wonderful year as President of the Frankfort Area Jaycees. I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to learn and grow! We set out in the beginning of the year with some big goals and ideas, and I am proud to say we have done a great job at meeting most of our goals….and even going above and beyond thanks to YOUR hard work! Thanks to everyone who ran or attended projects because you don’t know how much I appreciate it!!! I never would have made this year without YOUR help!!!!!! Being the 2009 President of the Frankfort Area Jaycees will be a year that I will never forget. As I sit here and write my last “From the desk of the President” article, I am reflecting back on a year of huge accomplishments and thinking about the impact we made. It was a learning experience and the biggest lesson I learned is that I am only one person. But I did the best I could with what I had and with the rest of the members behind me we did not just get through it, we shined in 2009. I would not have been able to serve as President without the support and help that I received from my board and my friends. But most of all I would not have been strong enough to handle it if it was not for the support of my wonderful family. So, Bob, Alex, Nikki, Becky and Hannah, I owe you all a huge Thank you. Your support has meant more to me than you know. I just hope they remember what I look like. LOL. One member of the chapter whom I would like to thank for everything is past State President, past RD, past Chapter President and Senator # Denise Lenz. You have been my sounding board, you have been the shoulder for me to cry on and the brain for me to pick. Your dedication to this organization is outstanding. I have had such a huge resource of other Jaycees from across this wonderful state to be there for me and give me advise and just be there. Sometimes you just have to outside the chapter to ask and or get solutions and this year’s State Staff was AWESOME. Thank you to State President Scott, his Presidential Assistant Heather, IDVP Yvonne, Financial Advisor Anthony Colletti and Executive Secretary Cheryl Knoche. As a Jaycee I have made some wonderful contacts, but I also have made some great lasting friends too. Lombard President Brian and his First Lady Heather have been there for me since the beginning. Oh BTW, Heather Bury deserves a HUGE congratulations. She is the N-O-R-T-H-E-A-S-T Region Director Elect. Lastly, please always try to remember that every event and every project is an awesome opportunity to get members involved and reactivated. It also can open the door of possibilities for new members to share the gift that we have been given, we believe in this organization along with the benefits that have made an impact on our lives. As this year comes to an end let’s try to share the gift with others so they have the same chances that we have been given. Wishing you and your families a wonderful Holiday season!!!
